Multi-instrumentalist, programmer, producer, and songwriter, Jerry Abbott first signed to Warners as part of a pop/rock band at just 17 years old. He has since worked with the likes of Nick Tauber (Thin Lizzy, Marillion), Andy Paley (Madonna, Brian Wilson) and Chris Porter (George Michael, Elton John).

Jerry signed a long-term publishing deal with Perfect Songs in May 2010, and is handled by Downtown in the USA. Within a few months he had completed a co-write with Olly Murs, Hold On, which was released on his debut album in November 2010. The album hit the UK chart at number 2 selling 108,000 copies in its first week (only kept off the top spot by Take That's Progress).

Jerry's songs have been synched across TV drama, commercials and teen shows in the UK and USA. Most notably on Grey's Anatomy, Popcorn (UK movie), The Hills (MTV), Desperate Housewives trailer, and commercials for BMW, Fruity Smarties, Pannon and many more.

At the time of writing, Jerry has a number of high profile projects on the go including Craig David (producing his latest album and co-writing two singles), Ed Drewett (album due spring 2011 on Virgin), Murray James (for Columbia Records), Jack McManus (producing his first single for Polydor), Liam Titcomb, Kaci Brown, Jade Williams (Geffen), Karen 'Romara' Days (Columbia), Julian Velard (co-writing and producing 11 tracks for Planeteer Records), Booty Luv (Ministry of Sound), Ruby Galliers (Rondor Music), Ben Adams (A1), Tina Barrett (S Club 7), Ben Ofeodu (Phats and Small), Chanelle Hayes (Eminence), Sweetbox (Universal/Sony BMG), Natalia Dousso (V2 records), Anouska (Stiff Records) and new artists James Craise and New York's Rachel P.
